About Me: I am 50 years old, married and have 2 children. I Graduated from Snohomish High School in 1978, attended Shoreline Community College, and joined the US Air Force from 1980 – 1984. Currently I have a flooring business, which I have been involved with since 1984. My flooring business usually keeps me busy, which means I have money for dirt bike parts!
My first bike: I started riding in 1969, and rode a Honda 50 motor scooter, which my dad had purchased for my mother. The first time I rode it was at Stampede Pass WA. In those days you could ride a motorcycle anywhere, and ORV tabs had not been thought of yet! I guess this dates me a bit…
My Riding Experience: I have ridden many places in Washington and a few places in other states; Arizona, California, Idaho, Oregon and Canada. I love hill climbs and as a kid loved to ride the Coal Piles in Cle Elum WA. My most favorite riding is in the mountains on skinny trails with a handful of riding buddies.
My Favorite Quote: “When in Doubt, Twist the Grip” Most of the time this saying works unless you wait too long to react!
Why I became a Competition Committee Member: I became a Competition Committee Member mostly to maintain the race points for the Enduro Series and Off Road Series. Since becoming a Committee Member, I have become more involved with the Committee’s accomplishments, which at times consumes a lot of free time!
I’d also like to say: Most people think their actions; behavior or ideas do not matter or make a difference. That is wrong. It takes one idiot to ruin it for everyone. Anyone can make a difference if they try. If one person writes a legislator about a problem, the impact is small. If 100 people write the same legislator about the same issue, it gets their attention.
